Using Leica laser scanners we are able to provide highly accurate dimensional building surveys (elevations, sections and plans) to produce very detailed drawings. Using the laser scanner reduces the need for site re-visits and is faster than using conventional survey techniques.

Laser scanning produces three dimensional point cloud data which can be loaded into AutoCAD, where we produce traditional line plans. We can also provide high resolution 360 degree panoramic images that can be used to provide visually verified surveys.

These techniques enable us to able to create accurately rendered 3D models that can be textured using the photography taken on site. Architects designs can then be added to the scene for photo realistic visualisation and 3D fly-throughs. This is ideal for presentation to planning departments, public exhibitions, sales and marketing of property and developments.

Merrett Survey Partnership use the latest in scanning technology, including the Leica C10, for their building surveys. With its excellent range (300m), speed ( 50,000 points per second ) and small laser spot size, we have dazzled clients with the speed of data capture and impressed with the accuracy of the data acquired.
